EXEMPT
13/13 PRISSICK SPORTS PARK PRE CONSTRUCTION FEES

The Executive Director of Neighourhoods and Communities submitted a report that provided an update of the known Prissick Sports Park pre-construction fees, these included design and survey fees currently instructed, via the National Scape Framework through the developer.

A full updated Executive Report on Prissick Sports Park covering background, masterplan, development, delivery including timescales, costs and options was being drafted.

In 2011 the vision for an iconic sport village and the relocation / reprovision of existing sport facilities (athletics and tennis) to the new Prissick Sports Park was announced.  Public consultation commenced on the draft masterplan proposal, this had progressed further with a design team utilising the Scape Framework and incorporated the Sports Park and infrastructure requirements.

The report outlined that the background and options would be fully documented in the future Executive report.

During the meeting it was mentioned that the survey costs are now known, which has increased the payment amount.

ORDERED

  1. That the payment of Prissick Sports Park pre-construction fees to the preferred developer be endorsed, to enable the scheme to progress.

REASON

The decision was supported by the following reason:

To fulfil the Authority’s obligations under the National Scape Framework.

The decision will come into force after five working days following the day the decision was published unless the decision becomes subject to the call in procedures.
